William "Buster" F. Tewell

William “Buster” F. Tewell, age 67 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, December 24, 2024 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. 

Buster was born April 18, 1957 in Indianapolis and served his country with the United States Marine Corp. He married Stefania Lucille Purdue on March 28, 1987 in Indianapolis and began to build a life together. 

Buster worked for Sunshine Produce in Indianapolis delivering produce before working for McFarling Foods in their warehouse in Indianapolis until his retirement in 2020. 

Buster enjoyed watching sporting events on television, with a Pepsi in hand. NASCAR, Colts Football, Cubs Baseball and Blackhawks Hockey, were his favorite teams to watch. When his children were younger, he enjoyed teaching them how to fish, taking them to amusement parks, playing golf, as well as camping outdoors. Buster also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, cheering them on as they played. Most of all, he enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, good times and laughs with friends. 

He will be missed by his wife of 37 years, Stefania Tewell of Indianapolis; children, Misty Benedict of Indianapolis, William “Skip” (Kailey) Tewell of New Palestine, Megan Tewell of Indianapolis, Kailyia “BMO” Tewell of  Indianapolis, Kalissa (Jaylee) Tewell, of Indianapolis

Kelsey Tewell of Greenwood; grandchildren, Dean Tewell & Peyton Miller; siblings, Joe (Debbie) Tewell, Jeff (Latricia) Tewell, Tina (Randall) Sanders, Andy (Tammy) Barker and Penny (Howard) Elmore.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Farrar and siblings, Carol Ann Tewell, Jim (Michele) Tewell, Candy Tewell, Sandy Adams and Rusty Tewell.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated with a Celebration of Life Gathering held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. A flag folding ceremony will take place at 11:30 am.
