She later worked for Plaza Laundry in Martinsville for 10 years and for the YMCA where she was a housekeeper.
In her free time, Sue loved reading western novels, gardening and spending time with her family.
She will be missed by her children; Paula Quinn, Pamela Blakley, Stacey Smith, Harrison “Scott” Ellis, Melissa DeLeon and Michelle Nenedjian, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and siblings; Donald Parson, Virginia Perry, Joyce Kemp, and Judith (Steve) Crider.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lawrence “Pety”, Ellis II and siblings, Mary Lou Casey, Sheron Elkins, Patricia Arnold, Barbara Badgley, Lewis, John, James, William "Bill", and Richard “Dick” Parson.
