Rose E. (Albright) Ratzburg, age 70, of Nashville, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, July 21, 2025, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She was born on May 4, 1955, in Indianapolis to her parents, the late Ray E. and Virginia L. (Vaught) Albright. Rose was a 1974 graduate of Arlington High School in Indianapolis. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, Rose’s warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Michael J. “Mike” Ratzburg, whom she married on May 21, 1994, in Nashville. Also surviving are her children, Mike (Charlee Hazelbaker) Ratzburg and Katie (Nathan Noblitt) Thompson, both of Nashville; and her beloved grandchildren: Morgan and Zachary Thompson, and Valerie and Jonah Ratzburg.
Rose was a former member of Sprunica Baptist Church. She found joy in tending her vegetable and flower gardens, hunting for treasures at yard sales and flea markets, and feeding the birds she loved to watch. She especially enjoyed classic westerns—John Wayne and Clint Eastwood were her favorites—and caring for her animals, particularly her cherished dog, Hazel.
Known for her infectious smile and friendly spirit, Rose never met a stranger. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th at 1 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Rose will be laid to rest at Weeping Willow Cemetery in Bean Blossom.
