Rick went on to drive a school bus for Brown County Schools for 10 years and later worked for Chem-Dry carpet cleaning until his retirement in 2014.
On August 28, 1971, Rick married the love of his life, Sheila R. Camplan. Together they raised three daughters, Antonia, Gina and Kathryn.
