Rebecca Jeanne (Burke) Taylor

Rebecca “Becky” Jeanne (Burke) Taylor, age 51, passed away all too soon on Saturday evening, October 5, 2024 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Martinsville.

Becky was born on September 10, 1973 in Morgantown, to her parents, James E. “Jim” and Vickie L. (Snider) Burke. She married the love of her life, Micheal “Mike” Taylor on September 25, 1993. Rebecca was a stay-at-home mom and loved caring for their son, Anthony. She also worked as switchboard operator for IU Health in Bloomington from 2019-2023. Becky was crafty and creative, which led her to having a business on Etsy called “Just Beeing Rebecca”. Her Etsy shop offered custom tumblers, ornaments and signs. In her free time, Becky enjoyed photography, flower and vegetable gardening as well as taking care of their sweet golden retriever, Claire.

Rebecca will be missed by her husband of 31 years, Mike Taylor, son, Anthony Taylor of Martinsville, mother, Vickie Burke of Morgantown, siblings, Jennie (Kyle) Hogue of Greenwood, Tammy (Giancarlo) Spadone of Indianapolis, Jason (Dusty) Burke of Morgantown, Jeremy (Becky) Burke of Martinsville; several nieces & nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, James “Jim” Burke and mother-in-law, Patricia “Pat” Lloyd.

Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 10th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 11th at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
