Ralph Michael Jaynes

Ralph Michael Jaynes, age 79 passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024 at 9:18 am surrounded by his daughter (Tamara) & son in law (Bill) at Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Albany, Kentucky. He has been a resident of Kentucky for the past 5 years and former resident of Nashville, Indiana. 

Ralph was born October 25, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas to his parents, the late Robert L. and Mary Francis Jaynes (Crider). Ralph was a 1963 graduate of Beech Grove High School. 

Ralph was a very generous man who always liked to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Ralph spent most of his life trading horses. Ralph loved to reminisce about the past with all of his horse stories and horse trading buddies. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family at Brown County State Park with his mule “Bud”. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandkids and great grandkids. 

Ralph is survived by his children, Tamara (Bill) Southerland of Albany, Kentucky, Robert (Patricia) Jaynes of Indianapolis, Angela Jaynes (Chad) of Mooresville, Debbie (Bob) Minardo of Greenwood, Kurtis Jaynes of Oregon & Ronnie (Sharla) Yerden of Mooresville; several grandchildren & great grandchildren and sister Susie (Larry) Jones of Beech Grove, nephews David, Larry (Joyce) Jones, and great niece Kaley.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown Indiana.
