Patricia Joyce (Fetrow) Adams

Patricia Joyce (Fetrow) Adams, age 93, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, February 27, 2025, with her family by her side at Otterbein Senior Living, where she had resided for the past 18 months.

Patricia was born on May 5, 1931, in Indianapolis, to William Gordon Malcolm and Violet (Taylor) Malcolm-Fetrow. She graduated from Trafalgar High School in 1948 and lived with her mother and stepfather, Harry Fetrow, who raised her and her sisters. On August 28, 1949, Patricia married Arthur E. Adams Jr. of Spearsville. They shared 68 years of marriage until Arthur's passing in 2016. Together, they had three sons: Michael, Stephen, and Stanley.

Patricia worked at the Franklin Dairy Queen for many years and at Greenwood Village South before opening her own business, Adams Video in Morgantown. Upon retirement, she and Arthur moved to Venice, Florida, where they spent 14 years before returning to Franklin to be closer to family. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Nokomis, Florida, and later attended Emmanuel Church in Franklin with family after returning to Indiana.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Arthur, her son Stanley, and her sisters Connie Walters and Delores Malcolm. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Toni) of Venice, FL, and Stephen (Terry) of Franklin; grandchildren Shawn Adams of Indianapolis, Susanne (Jesse) Pearson of Greenwood, Ben (Kasey) Adams of Charleston, SC, and Ryan (Caitlin) Adams of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchildren Oliver, Brielle, Asher, Aiden, and Beckett; sisters Myrtie White of Trafalgar, Harrietta Weddle of Helmsburg, and Sharon (Larry) Kesler of Morgantown, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 15th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service conducted by Pastor Andrew Stanley at 1:00 p.m. All services at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
