Ola M. Patterson, age 80 passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, December 5, 2024 at the Morgantown Woods of Journey. She was a resident of Nashville.
Ola was born March 31, 1944 in Harlan County, Kentucky to her parents, the late Franklin Carl and Bertha (Bowling) Patterson. She worked as a Cook & Dietary Supervisor for Brown County Health & Living Community for 25 years. Ola also worked in the Deli at the IGA in Nashville before retiring in 2019.
Ola spent her free time by sewing and stitching beautiful quilts as well as cooking and baking delicious meals and goodies from scratch. Ola also enjoyed reading mystery books and painting with acrylics. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and going on drives and fishing with her companion Ron.
She will be missed by her companion of over 30 years, Ronald Smith of Nashville; children, Patricia “Patty” Lebo of Martinsville, Thomas (Ida) Lebo Jr. of Morgantown and Beth Hayworth of Columbus; siblings; James (Nancy) Patterson of Greenwood, Patsy (Mickey) Derringer of Nineveh, Evie Adams and Linda Patterson both of Franklin; grandchildren, Brandi Hayworth, Lyndsey Hayworth, Justin Hayworth, Stephanie Lebo, Cody Eirhart, Savannah Lebo, Brandon Freed and Brittany Freed; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Donnie, Sherman, Bruce and David Patterson, Shirley Chittum and infant siblings Helen, Joanne and Carl.
Pastor James Hansel will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Nineveh Cemetery.
