Nola Jean Pryor (Jeanie Finley), age 73 of Morgantown, Indiana passed away in the comfort of her home with her family by her side on July 24, 2024 at 1:44 p.m. after a long battle of brain cancer (Glioblastoma).
The daughter of Bud and Lona Finley, she was born in Little Point, Indiana on February 26, 1951. She was married to Jack L. Pryor for 46 years. Nola was a hard worker, working at the Reporter Times from 1986 – 2000 and Walmart in Martinsville from 2002 until 2011.
Nola was a loveable person, she would help anyone out. Her family was her world. Nola loved planting flowers, pulling weeds and you would always find her reading a book or playing word search on her phone. She was a Mickey Mouse collector and Barbie collector.
Nola is survived by her husband, Jack Pryor of Morgantown, her children, Bud Finley of Shelbyville, Indiana, Lola Finch (husband, Quinton) of Franklin, Indiana, Jackie Pryor Jr. of Morgantown, Indiana and stepdaughter Randi Herrington (husband, Jerry) of Indianapolis; sisters, Lola Pope (husband, Bill) of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Betty Gettings of Jessamine, Kentucky, Kay Nungester (husband, Richard) of Plainfield, Indiana. Jackie Tyler (husband, Milan) of Brazil, Indiana; brothers Tommy Finley (wife, Sandy) of Brown County, Indiana and Eddie Finley of Trevelac, Indiana; 9 grandchildren, Kayla Rose (husband, Jimmy), Kaylee Lawson, Olivia Lawson, Cody Lawson, Alicia Lane, Ashley Herrington, Rachel Collins, Michael Lane (wife, Bree), and Andrew Herrington; 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bud Finley, mother Lona Finley, along with sisters Alice, Peggy, Stella, Susie, Liz and Linda and brothers Charlie, Robert, Willis and Allen.
Pastor Ray Finley will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 1 at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. until service time at the cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
