Nathanial "Nate" Ross Obituary

Nathanial J. “Nate” Ross, age 23, of Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 6, 2025, at IU Health – Methodist in Indianapolis. True to his generous spirit, Nate chose to be an organ donor, offering hope and healing to others in need.

Born on May 18, 2001, in Indianapolis. Nate was a 2019 graduate of Indian Creek High School. He proudly served in the Indiana National Guard and later as a Private in the United States Army. Most recently, he was employed as a welder and fabricator with Circle S Industries in Martinsville. Nate was a member of Word of Life Fellowship Church in Shelbyville and the Shelbyville American Legion Post 70.

Nate was known for his strong and loyal heart. He enjoyed weightlifting, playing video games, building with LEGO sets, and anything Batman-related. He especially loved spending time shooting darts with his brother and target shooting with his family and friends. Nate’s deep love for his family and friends has left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce (Dale) Cash of Morgantown; father, James “Jamie” Ross of Shelbyville; siblings, Jodi Ross of Morgantown, Tyler (Jessica Cottrell) Ross of Martinsville, Katelin (Ethan) Henson of Coal City, Malinah Ross of Shelbyville, and Lyla, Dalton, Xander, and Wyatt Cash, all of Morgantown; his niece, Adeleigh Ross of Martinsville; and his nephew, Sawyer Henson of Coal City.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street, Morgantown. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m., with burial at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
