Marion "Dick" Snyder

Marion R. “Dick” Snyder, age 85 passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Grand Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Martinsville. He was a resident of Brown County.

Dick was born June 16, 1939 in Morgan County, to his parents, the late Marion and Ruth Charlean (Bailey) Snyder. He retired in 1991 as a Supervisor at Arvins after 32 years of service. Dick was a member of the Ace Coon Club in Morgantown and enjoyed meeting up with friends at Brownies Restaurant in Bean Blossom to eat breakfast and solve the world’s problems. They were known as the “Breakfast Club”. Dick enjoyed hunting and horseback riding.

He is survived by his children, Anita Lynn (Ronald) DeBoard of St. Petersburg, FL, Lisa Sue Snyder of Greenville, SC and Jeffery Lee (Gwen) Snyder of Morgantown; siblings, Connie Sue Snyder of Morgantown, Karen Ann (Ray) Skillman of Jacksonville, FL, Violet Irene Schrougham of Morgantown, and William Dale Snyder of Brown County; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Dick was preceded in death by a sister, Joretta Jean Toon; and a grandson, Jensen Heiney.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
