Linda Satter Obituary

Linda D. (Kennett) Satter, age 69 of Brown County, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, January 23, 2025.

Linda was born in Indianapolis on May 22, 1955, to her parents, the late Charles M. and Beverly A. (Hercamp) Kennett. A devoted member of the Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church in Morgantown, Linda was actively involved in the Ladies Aid and was a long-time Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed working in her yard, watching the news, and caring for her three beloved cats—Kitters, Kitters & Kitters. Above all, Linda cherished her family, finding joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Gary L. Satter, who passed on May 2, 2016, and whom she married on August 11, 1973 in Morgantown. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Satter; and siblings Aaron Kennett, James "Jim" Kennett, and Brian Kennett.

Linda is survived by her children, Matt (Kelly) Satter of Brown County, Mark (Jennifer Funkhouser) Satter of Carmel and Jamie (Michelle) Satter of Brown County; her brother, Rick (Lainey) Kennett of Brookfield, OH; sisters-in-law, Judy Kennett of Morgantown and Sherrie Budd of Mooresville; grandchildren: Tony (Marra) Cromer of Brown County, Kaylee Satter of Morgantown, Kendra (Logan) Hendley of Trafalgar, Mattie Satter, Marqi Satter, and Merci Satter all of Brown County and William Satter of Carmel; and several great-grandchildren.
