Larry A. Hall

Larry A. Hall, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2026, at Compass Park in Franklin. 

Larry was born on September 17, 1944, in Tacoma, Washington, to the late Russell "Gene" and Marguerite C. "Brickey" (Duckwitz) Hall. He was a 1962 graduate of Trafalgar High School and proudly served his country in the Indiana National Guard.

On November 20, 1970, Larry married the love of his life, Susan Hicks, in Trafalgar. Together, they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.

Larry began his career as a mechanic with Tousley-Bixler Construction Company, where he worked for 18 years. He later became a truck driver for CMA Supplies in Indianapolis, retiring after many years of dedicated service.

Larry was a faithful member of Beech Grove Baptist Church for more than 50 years.  He was known for his strong work ethic and his love of fixing and building things. He enjoyed spending time tinkering in his garage, making trips to Menards, and taking on projects around the house. Above all else, Larry cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.

Larry will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Susan Hall; his children, Chris Hall of Morgantown and Robin (Kevin) Brooking of Ellettsville; his cherished grandchildren, Colton and Liam; and his sisters, Kathy (Don) Brewer of Prince’s Lakes, Debby Harlow of Trafalgar and Jan Hall of Nineveh.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, July 6th at Meredith Funeral Home, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown with military rites presented by the Army National Guard.
