Kimberly Joy (Acton) Brock, age 57 of Nashville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.
Kim was born June 10, 1966 in Seymour to her parents Harry and Carolyn (McKain) Acton. She was a 1984 graduate of North High School in Columbus and earned several Associate Degrees from Ivy Tech focusing in business, finance and accounting.
Kim was a loving mother who enjoyed staying at home and raising her three children. She later worked for Claas of America as a warehouse specialist for 15 years and most recently, she worked as a Cook for Brown County Schools.
Kim was a patriotic woman who loved her country. She was a former Vice President of the Brown County Republican Women, member of the American Legion Axillary and the current Chaplain of the American Legion Riders Post 13 Nashville. Kim enjoyed singing bluegrass and gospel music, gardening and clogging in her earlier years. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Kim will be remembered most for her love of family, her country and her faith in God.
Kimberly will be missed by her mother, Carolyn Acton of Columbus; longtime companion, Kelly McCauley of Nashville; children, Tanya (Mark) Ciesiolka, Kamara Brock and Tanner Brock all of Columbus; step children, Mallory McCauley of Nashville, James McCauley of Gatesville, TX, Christie McCauley of Fishers, and Kelsi McCauley of Beech Grove; grandchildren, Jaci, Waylon, Loretta, Tara, Carolyn and Everett; siblings, Sherry Kinnett of New Smyrna Beach, FL, David Acton of Monks Corner, SC and Teresa Brock of Brown County.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Harry Acton.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28th at Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery, 9174 Bean Blossom Road in Brown County. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
