Juanita C. (Asher) Poindexter

Juanita C. Poindexter, age 62, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, February 12, 2025, at IU Bloomington Hospice House. She was a resident of Martinsville.

Born on December 2, 1962, in Indianapolis, Juanita was the daughter of Donald and Mary (McCurry) Asher. She is survived by her children, Anita (Andrew) McCloud of Morgantown and Lanny Poindexter of Martinsville; her sister, Doris Sparks; and her grandchildren, Jeremiah May, Joseph May, Aaliyah Poindexter, Emma McCloud, and Lanny Poindexter.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Irene Poindexter; several siblings; and her beloved dog, Taz.

Juanita deeply cherished her family, enjoying visits and shopping trips. She was an avid fan of horror movies, the Lifetime Channel, and TV Land. A passionate collector of makeup, she took great joy in finding new pieces to add to her collection.

In keeping with Juanita’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
