Joseph R. Linville, Jr., age 76 passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, October 24, 2022 at his home on West Lost Branch Road in Nashville.
He was born January 15, 1946 in Indianapolis, to his parents, the late Joseph R. and Velma Ruth (Kieninger) Linville Sr. Joseph was a 1964 graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Indianapolis. He retired in 2005 after 30 years of working as a Journeyman Wireman for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 481 in Indianapolis.
Joseph enjoyed woodworking and tending to his 16 acres in rural Brown County. He also enjoyed caring for his golden retriever/lab mix, Dazey Star, feeding the hummingbirds and fishing.
He is survived by his life partner, Sherri Ann Linville of Bloomington; son, Joseph (Melanie) Linville III of Florida; siblings, Joyce (Ron) Roempke and Michael Linville both of Indianapolis, Tom (Becky) Linville of Whiteland, Carl Linville, Mary Linville and Teresa Linville all of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jeremy Linville of Georgia and Bethany Linville of Florida; and great grandson, Hayden.
Joseph was preceded in death by his first wife, Cheryl Marie Linville; and a brother, Pat Linville.
Deacon Russ Woodard will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Weeping Willow Cemetery in Bean Blossom.
