Joseph Fowler Obituary

Joseph “Jorge” Green Fowler, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 10, 2025, in Brown County.

Jorge was born on April 1, 1995 in Marion County. He attended both Brown County High School and Indianapolis High School where he excelled at sports: wrestling, soccer and baseball. Jorge loved music and playing guitar. He worked in both the restaurant and construction industries as an adult. Jorge had a great love for life and was known for his friendly, beautiful smile. His favorite past time was fishing, any chance he could, as well as participating on a basketball league in Brown County. He was a loyal fan of the New York Giants. Above all, Jorge deeply loved his family and friends, especially his three children.

He is survived by his father, Clinton (Jill) Fowler, Sr. of Indianapolis; brothers, Clinton Fowler II of Morgantown and Jimmy Fowler of Indianapolis, mother, Pamela “Jill” Raney, plus numerous nephews and a niece. He is survived by his own children, Axel Green Fowler and mother, Ariana Thorne of Vincennes, and Sophia Raelynn Fowler and Chloe Bean Fowler and their mother, Sierra Sanabria of LaGrange, Ohio. Joseph was also dearly loved by Melanie Rae Voland of Nashville who acted as his “Madre” for the last 17 years. He is survived, as well, by good friends, Josh (Jamie) Easterday, also of Nashville and will be lovingly remembered by a host of friends.

Jorge was preceded in death by his brother Steven Ray Fowler.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
