Jennie L. (Hendrickson) Harsch, age 80 passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, September 29, 2024 at Otterbein Franklin Senior Life Community. She was a resident of Brown County and a former resident of Mooresville.
Jennie was born in Kokomo on January 17, 1944, to her parents, the late Maurice and Mary (Huffer) Hendrickson. She retired after 20 years as a Health Care Aide working at both Brown County Health & Living in Nashville and Kendrick Hospital in Mooresville.
Jennie enjoyed reading, sewing and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed watching tennis on television and spending time with her family. Jennie was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Robert C. “Bobby” Harsch, whom she married on November 2, 1985 in Nashville. Jennie was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ellen Justus; son, Jeffrey Justus; and siblings, Gilbert Hendrickson and Donnas Davee.
She is survived by her children, Jody (Darrell) Rose of Greenwood, Jack Justus of Victoria, TX, & Janet Williams of Dallas, TX; step-children, Tammy (Brad) Gracen of Noblesville, Kim (Steve) Morgan, Jon (Katrina) Harsch & Robert L. Harsch all of Brown County: siblings, Carolyn Abbott of Florida, Julia (Wayne) Brown, Mary Lou Parker & Kevin (Marilyn) Hendrickson all of Mooresville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces & nephews.
Pastor Jack Justus will conduct a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, October 4th at 3 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
