Jason Parsley Obituary

Jason L. Parsley, age 50, of Trafalgar, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday morning, June 29, 2026, with his family by his side.

Jason was born April 17, 1976 in Franklin to his parents, Steven Lyle and Carol L. (Piper) Parsley.  He graduated from Center Grove High School in 1994 and went on to graduate from the JACT electrical program while also earning a degree from Ivy Tech.

Jason dedicated more than 30 years of his career to ERMCO, where he worked as a General Foreman. He was a proud member of IBEW Local Union 481. Jason loved his work, often joking that he chose his career because he hated neckties and never wanted to be tied to a cubicle.

He was also a member of the Capital City Conservation Club in Indianapolis. Jason had a passion for hard work and enjoyed operating heavy equipment. An avid sports fan and outdoorsman, he especially loved gardening, fishing, boating, and camping. His faithful Labrador, Max, was often by his side on his outdoor adventures.

Above all else, Jason treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous heart, love of the outdoors, and the countless memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

He will be greatly missed by his mother, Carol (Ron West) Parsley of Greenwood; son, Nathan Parsley of Trafalgar; sister, Laura (Johnny III) Lippert of Greenwood and grandmother, Patty (Hicks-Piper) Hill of Martinsville; aunts, Nancy Wilson of Morgantown, Patti Lawhorn of Greenfield; uncle, Michael (Linda) Piper of Indianapolis; nephews and niece: Bryce, Brooklynn, and Dylan Rowley; Johnny IV and Lincoln Lippert; as well as several cousins and his faithful four-legged companion, Max.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Nathaniel “Nat” & Garnet Parsley, William Piper and Robert Hill.

A private visitation and funeral service for family and friends will be held at Meredith Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street, Morgantown. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
