Janet E. (Williams) Bryant, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday afternoon, April 27, 2024 from her home in Morgantown.
Janet was born January 6, 1942 in Bloomington, to her parents, the late Wendell and Ruth (Robertson) Williams. She attended school in Gosport. Janet was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She was a devoted 66-year member of the Morgantown General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. Janet will be remembered as one who lived to serve her brethren. She will also be remembered for delicious cooking and baking, especially her homemade noodles, pies and egg custard rolls. Janet enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her children and suits for her husband. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and collecting antiques.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Billy Bryant, whom she married on January 2, 1962 in Trafalgar. She is also survived by her children, Jeff (Chris) Bryant of Morgantown, Denny (LaVonne) Bryant of Morgantown, Angie Hall of Tahoka, TX and Darrin Bryant of Morgantown; sister, Debbie Mitchem of Morgantown; grandchildren, Levi (Misty) Bryant of Morgantown, Hannah (Brandon) Gregory of Vici, OK, Jeremiah (Angel) Bryant of Piedmont, OK, Adam (Reagan) Bryant of Dallas, TX, Eli Bryant of Morgantown, Michael Bryant of Indianapolis, Melinda (Jeff) McCurdy of Brown County, Matt Bryant of Brown County, Casey (Kyla) Hall of Tahoka, TX, Carissa (Brandon) Hardaway of Lubbock, TX, Haley (Shane) Moss of Ripley, OK, Maegan Thompson of Vici, OK and Tanner Hall of Morgantown; and 33 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a son, Billy Ray Bryant; son in law, Randy Hall; granddaughter, Bethany Bryant; and siblings, David, Paul and Otis Williams.
Bro. Rodger Bunch will conduct a funeral service on Thursday, May 2nd at 1 p.m. at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
