Garry Lee Allender, age 60, passed away all too soon on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at his home in Morgantown.
Garry was born December 21, 1961, in Franklin to his parents, the late Jackie and Margaret (Joy) Allender. He was a 1981 graduate of Brown County High School. Garry retired from General Electric in Bloomington in 2016 after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors by fishing and golfing. Garry also enjoyed smoking and grilling meat. Most of all, he loved spending time with family, and pestering his favorite sister, Tammy.
He will be missed by his loving wife, Wilma Floyd, whom he married on April 14, 2012 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He will also be missed by his children, Travis (Shelbey) Allender of Texas, and Misty Shireman of Trafalgar; grandchildren, Haley Shireman, Deseray Allender, Josie Shireman and Dakota Allender; and siblings, Dennis (Kim) Allender and Tammy Davidson both of Nashville, Michael Allender of Nineveh and David (Teresa) Allender of Bloomington.
Garry was proceeded in death by his parents and twin brother Larry Allender.
Friends may call from 3 – 5 p.m. on Thursday, November, 17th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
