Longtime Brown County native, Frank William Tilton, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2023 at the home of his brother and sister-in-law in Marianna, Florida, where he had resided for the past two years.
Frank was born on September 20, 1942 to his parents, the late Fredric and Gladys (Satter) Tilton. He graduated from Nashville High School and went on to attend Indiana University in Bloomington. At the age of 10 he started raising Christmas trees and was engaged in farming for most of his life.
Frank is survived by his siblings, Thomas (Amalia) Tilton & Janice (Dennis) Foster; as well as, his nieces and nephews, James (Joy) Tilton, Andrew Tilton, Luke (Jenny) Tilton, Ruth (Nathan) Pease, Christina (Will) Montague, Angela Bixler, Michael (Lisa) Foster, Rachel (Mike) Teodoro, and Benjamin Foster.
A Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held on Sunday, March 26th at 2 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Frank to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st Street Ste. 100 Indianapolis, IN 46278.
