Frank J. Konechnik

Frank J. Konechnik, age 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024 in Brown County. 

Frank was born August 18, 1950 in Indianapolis, to his parents, the late Louis and Dolores (Udovich) Konechnik.  He was a 1968 graduate of Cathedral High School in Indianapolis and attended IUPUI. Frank retired from the CSX railroad after 34 years of service.  He married Katherine “Kathy” Bruce on September 24, 1988 in Indianapolis and spent 34 years of marriage together before her passing in 2023. 

Frank is survived by 2 sisters, 1 brother-in-law, 3 nephews, 3 nieces and 22 great nieces and nephews as well as several friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Kathy. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for both Frank and Kathy at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church: 1709 E. Harrison Street in Martinsville. A Rosary Service will be held prior to the service at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
