Miss Emma Gracie Bolt, age 15, passed away all too soon on Wednesday morning, July 27, 2022 at her home in Trafalgar.
She was born September 28, 2006 in Indianapolis with a perseverance and inner strength that allowed her to fight continued health battles for her entire life. Emma could express her love with a look, a squeeze or with her contagious smile, proving love isn’t only shared through words and that love is much deeper.
Emma taught those she loved how to be happy because she took joy in simple things such as joy in seeing her family, joy in listening to her favorite song or joy in watching Jesse, in her favorite movie, Toy Story. She will be remembered for being a blessing to her parents, family and friends. Emma will be missed by all.
Emma is survived by her mother, Miranda (Michael) Bolt-Muse of Taylorsville; father, Jeffrey Bolt of Trafalgar, brothers, Wyatt Bolt of Greenwood and Walker Bolt of Trafalgar; stepbrother, Bentley Muse of Taylorsville; maternal grandmother, Raeanna (Mark) Simmons of Columbus; maternal grandfather, Steve Snider of Nashville; maternal great grandmother, Marilyn Dodson of Columbus; step grandmother, Rosa ‘Tiny’ Bolt of Indianapolis; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Hilda Arney; paternal grandfather, Chester Bolt; step grandfather, Roscoe Arney.
Emma was a member of the Hoosier Harvest Church in Martinsville and was looking forward to starting her freshman year at Indian Creek High School.
The Rev. Chris Page will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Hoosier Harvest Church, 4085 Leonard Road in Martinsville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the church. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
