Dorothy Ann (Mitchell) Couch, age 64 passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, June 20, 2024 at her home in Nashville.
Dorothy was born September 26, 1959 in New Castle, to her parents, the late William Peter and Laura P. (Stanley) Mitchell. She retired from Ed Couch Sealcoating, which her and her husband Ed, owned & operated for the past 30 years.
She enjoyed spending the summers on her house boat at Dale Hollow Lake and would often say that there is nothing better than sleeping on the water. Dorothy also enjoyed fishing and motorcycling with her husband all over the United States. She especially enjoyed visiting Maggie Valley in North Carolina, Panama City, Sturgis and the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Dorothy loved her family dearly and will be missed by all those she loved.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 23 years, Edward Lee Couch, whom she married on February 21, 2001 in Nashville. She is also survived by her children, Joseph Coleman of Branchville, Steve Coleman of Plainfield, Nicholas (April) Coleman of Nashville & Mitch Coleman of Greenfield; siblings, Sandra (Pete) Jones of Bargersville, Lorie (Pete) Western of Avon and Robert Mitchell of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Scott Coleman and Loralai “Sissy” Coleman.
Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister Georgean Venny.
Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 24th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. A private graveside service will follow on Monday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville.
