Donna Sue (Bolton) Terrell

Donna Sue (Bolton) Terrell, age 72, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, November 18, 2025, at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born September 17, 1953, in Indianapolis, Donna was one of twelve children of Roy and Audrey (Leggins) Bolton. She retired from Indiana University, where she worked in Dining and Hospitality. Earlier in life, she held various positions at the Nashville House, The Ordinary, and the Sock Factory, all in Nashville. A woman of strong faith, Donna was a member of Little Union Baptist Church in Bloomington.

Donna found joy in tending to her yard, quilting, and listening to Christian Gospel music. She loved caring for her dog, “Sassy,” and cherished every moment spent with her family. Her greatest pride and happiness came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored deeply.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (David Elliott) Brumfield of Indianapolis and Michelle (Jamie) Satter of Brown County; siblings, Beverly (John) Campbell of Brown County, Bill Bolton of Greene County, and Lori (Charles) Craig of Bloomington; grandchildren, Cameron (Tiara) Smyth of Martinsville, Jordan (Antonio) Marquez of Edinburgh, Tony (Marra) Cromer of Morgantown, Kaylee (Michael Meador) Satter of Morgantown, and Kendra (Logan) Hendley of Trafalgar; great-grandchildren, Willow, Ivy, Casen, Abel, Betsy, Johnny, Forrest, and Braydon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband of 24 years, Larry Dale Terrell Sr., who passed on March 24, 2016. They were married October 12, 1991, in Trevlac. She was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings Lorna Miller, Roy “Buddy” Bolton, Rose Fluharty, Kay Francis, Linda Bolton, Dorothy Newton, Patricia “Pat” Shinn, an infant brother, Ronald Bolton; and a great-grandson, Beau.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Meredith Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Pastor Grant Quimby will officiate a funeral service at 12 p.m., followed by burial at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
