David Lee Smith

David Lee Smith, age 49, passed away Monday afternoon, October 22, 2007 at his residence in Brown County.

Born December 14, 1957, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Harry A. and Angeline M. (Ule) Smith.

David was the owner and operator of Smith Well & Pump Services in Brown County for the past 18 years. Prior to that, he worked for Batin & Logan Well Drilling in Franklin. He was a member of the National Drillers Association.

He is survived by his mother, Angeline M. Smith of Trafalgar, one son, Travis L. Smith of Morgantown; one daughter, Jessica L. Smith of Martinsville; granddaughter, Lea J. Smith of Martinsville; one sister, Carol Martin of Bargersville; two brothers, Richard A. Smith of Kentucky and Charles J. Oswald of Trafalgar.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry A. Smith; one sister, Kristy Neese; and two nephews, Charles W. Oswald & Leslie Neese.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 25th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from Thursday from 5 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Inurnment will follow the service at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
