Danny Wayne Barlowe, age 72 passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025 in Brown County with snow resting gently on the trees. He spent the majority of his life in Kettering, Ohio.
Danny was born February 7, 1953 in Hazard, Kentucky to his parents, the late Ralph "Smitty" and Regina “Gide“ Ruth (Barlowe) Smith. He attended Fairmont East High School in Kettering, Ohio.
Danny was known for walking wherever he needed to go, no matter how many miles it took to reach his destination. He greatly enjoyed supporting his niece and nephew in all of their activities while growing up and took his role as an uncle very seriously. A man of few words, Danny never raised his voice, but spoke when it truly mattered. He will be remembered most for being a devoted son and a loving uncle. It brings his family great peace knowing that he recently found God.
He will be missed by his niece Amanda Buckley Carr; nephew, Jason (Tracie) Buckley, great-nephews Jordan Carr, Jaelyn Carr and JJ Buckley; many cousins, especially the Kirby cousins. He will also be missed by his former partner and the love of his life, Jeanenne Gallienne.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, younger brother Petey Barlowe, grandma “Mommy Marlowe” and sister Nadine “Nana” Baker.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Danny to the Shriners Hospital: 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607
