Christina "Chrissy" N. (Smith) Barnett

Christina N. “Chrissy” (Smith) Barnett, age 45 of Martinsville, passed away all too soon on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

She was born December 21, 1978 in Martinsville. Chrissy attended Indian Creek High School in Trafalgar and was a Certified Nursing Assistant. Chrissy’s true passion was being a homemaker and caring for her family, especially her grandson, Wade. She enjoyed shopping, visiting yard sales & flea markets, and hanging out with her dogs Moose, Lucy, Lilly & Remmi. Chrissy will be remembered for her excellent baking, cooking and her homemade sweet tea.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Bruce A. Barnett, whom she married on August 13, 1997 in Martinsville. Chrissy is also survived by her devoted children, Morgan (Dalton) Croslow and Colten Barnett, both of Martinsville; cherished grandson, Wade Croslow of Martinsville; father, Dave (Katha) Smith of Morgantown; in-laws, Tim and Susan Barnett of Martinsville; brother-in-law, Sam (Olivia) Barnett of Martinsville; siblings, Mike Harrington of Mooresville, Eric Harrington of Morgantown & Dave Smith of Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah (Hamilton) Stevens; maternal grandmother, Helen Hamilton; and an aunt, Judy Burpo.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Pastor Fred Brown will conduct a funeral service at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
