Carolyn Sue (Guy) Jones

Carolyn Sue (Guy) Jones, age 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, December 2, 2025, at IU Health – Methodist in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Morgantown.

Carolyn was born on May 27, 1959, in Greencastle to the late Junior and Helen (Coffman) Guy. She attended Manuel High School in Indianapolis. Carolyn retired from Speedway Gas Station in Indianapolis, where she worked as a dedicated Store Manager for over 25 years.

Carolyn enjoyed shopping, watching her favorite soap operas, and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts. She loved her family dearly and also took great joy in caring for her beloved cats, Serious and Gizmo.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, David Lee Jones; her son, Joshua Jones of Morgantown; and her granddaughter, Kylie Swayze of Morgantown; along with her siblings, Rita Abel of Florida, Steven Guy of Cloverdale, Cheryl Eastman of Indianapolis and Rhonda Powell of Centerton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by siblings, Debbie Layne and Kenny Guy.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday, December 7th from 1 to 3 p.m. at Meredith Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
