Carol Jean Smith, age 72 of Nashville, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, July 18, 2024 at Bell Trace Senior Living Community in Bloomington.
Carol was born April 26, 1952 in Martinsville. She attended Brown County High School and worked for over 20 years as a Clerk at the BP Gas Station in Nashville, retiring in 2021. She made many friends and enjoyed talking to those patrons of the BP. Carol also enjoyed reading, bird watching and tending to her flower gardens.
Carol is survived by her children, Melissa (Allen) Jewell, Brian (Melissa) Smith and Megan (Daniel) Smith-Quintero all of Nashville; grandchildren, Hayden Smith, Samantha Smith, Nicholas Jewell, Brittney Smith and Willa Rae Quintero all of Nashville.
In keeping with Carol’s wishes, she will be cremated. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Carol to the American Cancer Society, 5635 West 96th St. Ste. 100 Indianapolis, IN 46278.
