Bruce R. Cline

Bruce R. Cline, 75, of Trafalgar, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday morning, February 20, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Bruce was born on March 27, 1949, in Mohawk, West Virginia, to the late Lawrence E. and Pauline (Perdew) Cline. Along with his beloved wife Alice, he was the proud owner and operator of Cline Doors in Trafalgar for over 37 years. Together, they helped countless customers, many of whom became lifelong friends.

Bruce will be remembered for his humble nature, deep love for his family, and his enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time with family and friends, tending to his property, and enjoying the outdoors—often seen riding his John Deere Gator or fishing. Bruce was a fan of the History Channel with Moonshiners and Gold Rush being his favorite shows. He also had a passion for NASCAR, with Dale Earnhardt Sr. being his favorite driver.

Bruce is survived by his children: Beth Cline, Tina (Rob) Lockhart, and Josh (Codi) Cline, all of Trafalgar; his siblings, Pam Wills of Trafalgar and Tim Cline of Gallipolis, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Debbie (Judy Cline) Lockhart of Lakeland, Florida; grandchildren Kylie Lockhart, Cody Lockhart, Daniel Cline, all of Trafalgar, and Evelyn (Jeremiah Turner) Cline of Brown County; a great-granddaughter, Lola Turner of Brown County; and several special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Alice (Lockhart) Cline, whom he married on April 12, 1967, in Grundy, Virginia. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Roggio, Leslie, and Mickey Cline, Marlene Kirk, Sue Coffey, Gaynelle Jones, and an infant sister.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 28th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m., conducted by Bruce’s nephew, Brad Cline.
