Brenda Lee (Adams) Knapp, age 51 passed away all too soon on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at her home in Brown County.
Brenda was born April 9, 1973 in Indianapolis, to her parents, Earl Ray and Carolyn Sue (Hatzell) Adams. She attended George Washington High School in Indianapolis and later married the love of her life, Michael Knapp in 1997 in Indianapolis. He survives after 27 loving years of marriage.
Brenda attended the Pentecostals of Nashville and was a member of the Westside Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Indianapolis. She was a loving mother who enjoyed taking care of others. Her caring, nurturing heart and love for children, created the opportunity for Brenda and her husband, Mike, to open their home and become foster parents. She held the role of mom with high regard and those who met her, knew it was her first priority.
In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and traveling with her family. She also enjoyed watching figure eight and stock car racing. Brenda was an animal lover and enjoyed caring for her cat and 3 dogs. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and will be remembered most for her loving, selfless nature.
She will be missed by her husband, Michael Knapp, mother, Carolyn Sue Allen; children, Charles Leroy Knapp of Winamac, Autumn (CJ) Allen of Wabash, Alexis Danielle Allen and Alisha Rose Allen both of Nashville; nieces Sarah (Baha) Masad, Chianne Fields and Aryanna Fields all of Indianapolis; and a brother James (Wendi) Adams of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Ray Adams and baby brother, Kevin Earl Adams.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow the funeral at 3:30 p.m. at Floral Park Cemetery: 425 N. Holt Road in Indianapolis.
