In Loving Memory of Bella

August 16th was a day of deep sorrow for all of us at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home.

With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Golden Retriever, Bella. For over a decade, Bella was more than just a loyal companion to Bill—she was a cherished member of our team, a gentle presence in the lives of grieving families, and a beloved friend to the entire Morgantown community.

Bella went to work every day with purpose and love, offering quiet comfort to those navigating the hardest days of their lives. Her calm demeanor, kind eyes, and steady presence made her an irreplaceable part of our funeral home family. She greeted visitors with a wagging tail, sat quietly with those in mourning, and always knew who needed her most.

Many in town knew Bella by name. Whether she was stopping at the post office or the bank, she never missed a morning treat—or a chance to brighten someone's day. She adored everyone she met, from toddlers tugging at her ears to seniors gently patting her head.

Bella gave so much love to this world. Her absence leaves a hole in our hearts that words cannot fill. Bill, especially, has lost his best friend—and we have all lost a source of unconditional love and comfort.

Rest peacefully, sweet Bella. You will forever be part of our home, our hearts, and our memories.

We invite all who knew and loved Bella to join us for a special gathering in her honor this September, 21st from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. 

In Bella’s memory, we will be collecting donations of treats, food, & toys to benefit the Brown County Humane Society.
