Barbara A. (Bowling) Brock

Barbara “Barb” A. (Bowling) Brock age 76 passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, April 18, 2025 at her home in Trafalgar.

She was born November 10, 1948 in Harlan, Kentucky to her parents, the late Clifford, and Lois (Gross) Bowling. Barb was a 1967 graduate of Trafalgar High School. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Marvin Brock on July 25, 1967 at Fox’s Corner in Brown County. Together they were blessed with three children and 57 devoted years of marriage. 

Barb worked as a paraprofessional, a bus driver and as a special-needs monitor for Brown County Schools for over 34 years. She attended Fair Haven Christian Church and enjoyed working at Sprunica Elementary School. Barb looked forward to the holidays and enjoyed spending her time baking, listening to music, reading and working on adult coloring books. She also enjoyed taking care of her special black Lab, Phoebe, and Australian Shepherd, Zippy, but nothing could compare to the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barb was most proud of her family and enjoyed watching her children become perfect role models for her grandchildren.

She will be missed by her husband, Marvin; children, Lloyd (Janette) Brock of Odon, Amy Jackson and Jennifer (Tim) Thomas both of Trafalgar; grandchildren, Danielle Boner, Heather Ford, Amber Greene, Kelsey Bruner, Kenzie Lynch, Baylee Baker and Braydon Brock; 12 great grandchildren; and siblings, Robbie (Tonia) Bowling of Morgantown and Jimmy Bowling of Edinburgh. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Betty, Wilma, Dorothy, Kenny, Jerry and Clifford. 

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23rd at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
